Context and Overview

This micro-credential addresses the critical link between energy efficiency in buildings and financial innovation, recognizing that energy solutions require not just technological advancement but also viable financial strategies. This course, designed to bridge the gap between technical expertise and financial acumen in the field of energy efficiency in buildings, targets professionals from both technical and business backgrounds and equips learners with knowledge on cutting-edge financial instruments and business models specifically designed to support energy efficiency projects and unlock private investments. Participants will learn to leverage tools such as grants, on-bill schemes, on-tax schemes, green bonds, energy performance contracts, energy service contracts, and other innovative tools to make energy projects viable and appealing.
