Context and Overview

Advertising serves as a pivotal tool for disseminating information about energy innovations, promoting sustainable practices, raising awareness about the importance of energy efficiency, and helps filling the gap between technological advancements and public acceptance. Public relations play a crucial role in fostering trust and credibility within the energy sector, facilitating open communication with stakeholders. This MC aims at providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for rational advertising and public relations decision creating long-lasting value for organisations in the Energy sector. During this MC the students will get acquainted with the latest trends and concepts of advertising and public relations to orientate themselves in the advertising and public relations activities and to develop, implement and evaluate advertising and public relations plans. Students will gain knowledge of key internal and external factors that impact the process of developing, implementing, and managing plans of advertising and public relations, as well as in periods of crisis.


Learning Objectives

On the completion of the micro-credential, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the role of advertising in promoting energy innovations, raising awareness and bridging the gap between technological advancements and public acceptance.
  • Examine the importance of public relations in building trust and credibility within the energy sector, facilitating transparent communication with key stakeholders.
  • Develop skills in creating and implementing advertising and public relations plans that add long-term value to organizations within the energy sector.
  • Identify and assess internal and external factors that impact advertising and public relations efforts, including legal, ethical, and social responsibility considerations.
  • Cultivate the ability to make informed decisions regarding advertising and public relations strategies that enhance organizational credibility and align with sustainable business goals.
